UNC Charlotte’s

Carolina’s Conference

October 3-5, 2025

For Model UN students, by Model UN students.

Dear delegates and faculty,

My name is Enrico Vavassori and I am delighted to welcome you all to the 36th Annual Carolina’s Conference at Charlotte! I hope that the conference, throughout the whole weekend, will provide an engaging and intellectually stimulating experience for all our delegates, helping you all hone in your skills in debating, problem solving, diplomacy, and compromise.

This year I am excited to announce we are bringing a variety of interesting committees, from the traditional big double-delegate GAs, mirroring the procedure taken by the real United Nations, to specialized committees dealing with a variety of crises, fictional and real alike. I hope you all will use these carefully thought out topics and represent your nation or character as accurately as possible, and most importantly, use this opportunity to learn and grow as delegates as you prepare for the competitive collegiate circuit!

On behalf of the entire secretariat, I wish you the very best throughout the conference. We are thrilled to have you here and cannot wait to see the enthusiasm, innovative solutions, diplomacy, and leadership you all will bring to your respective committees!

Sincerely,

Enrico Vavassori
